Alexander Garcia is currently a senior at the University of Houston, graduating in May 2023 with a B.S. in Biotechnology from the College of Technology and a minor in Biology with the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Alex hopes to attain opportunities that will lead him into energy sustainability including the biofuel industry. Throughout the Covid-19 shutdown he volunteered at Project CURE and the Houston Food Bank to give back to the Houston community. During his time at UH, he has earned the NHLBI scholarship, summer internships, became an active member for SBE, attained his EMT license, served as a Lab Assistant both in academia and in the industry, and is a now the Vice Chair of Technology for the Energy Coalition.
