Phillip Jefferson is a Senior Petroleum Engineering Undergraduate Major with dual Minors in Marketing and Mathematics. Additionally, Phillip has earned a Certificate in Corporate Entrepreneurship from the Wolf Center of Entrepreneurship (2016). Phillip has served as Chair of the Energy Coalition since Founding the organization in 2015. Prior to serving as Chair, Phillip served as President of the UH Energy Association. Before serving as Energy Association President, Phillip served as the organizations first Vice President of Engineering Relations and Development. In 2016, Phillip was appointed to the Board of Director for the University of Houston Oil-Chemical-Energy Alumni Association. In 2015, Phillip became the first student ever appointed to the Houston World Chamber of Commerce - Energy Committee. Phillip is a Distinguished Member holding a Degree of Excellence from The National Speech and Debate Association. Phillip is an active member in The Society of Petroleum Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Energy Association, and Subsea Engineering Society. He is extremely passionate about the energy industry, the University of Houston, and helping others in need. His goals are to change the world through energy, establish the University of Houston as THE premier energy University in the United States, and positively impact as many lives as possible along the way.
Arisha Sial is a senior Supply Chain and Logistics major with a minor in Energy and Sustainability. She has a passion for clean, renewable energy and hopes to bring affordable energy solutions to third world countries, such as the one she was born in. Her interest in clean energy was sparked by the work's and achievements of Nikola Tesla. In her free time, Arisha enjoys watching basketball, collecting school supplies, and tending to her bamboo plant.
Nourhan Wael received her Bachelor's degree in Marketing from The University of Houston's Bauer College of Business. In 2015, Nourhan was awarded Presidency of the American Marketing Association. Upon bringing the organization to new heights, Nourhan and her team won the Excellence in Chapter Planning award at the national level as well as the Excellence in Innovation award at Halliburton's leadership and ethics luncheon. Nourhan has been actively involved in The Energy Coalition. She was the former Vice President of General Events in 2015 and she has since moved on to become the Vice President of Finance. Nourhan prides herself on being a self motivator with excellent communication, and organizational skills.

Kyndall Semones is a Senior Petroleum Engineering student with dual minors in Geology and Energy & Sustainability. She previously earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University in 2005. During her time at UH, she has been heavily involved in the Society of Women Engineers, previously serving as President and now as a Region C Collegiate Co-Rep. She serves as student liaison to the Engineering Alumni Association Board and is excited to join the Energy Coalition as Vice Chair for Corporate Relations.
Christian is currently pursuing a Finance Degree from the University of Houston Bauer College of Business. His goals include opening his own business as well as furthering his career and education in Investment Banking. He was the Director of External Relations for the American Marketing Association and has since then looked to gain further knowledge from not only the business world, but also the energy sector.

Yilhak Abebe is an undergraduate Petroleum Engineering student expecting to graduate December 2018. He currently serves as the Vice Chair of Business Competition Operations for the Energy Coalition. He encourages aiming high in life and facing challenges by working hard and working smart.

David is a BSc in Geology major interested in doing what he can to provide opportunities for UH students to showcase their many talents to a greater audience.
Mark T. Williams II graduated with a degree in Art History from Baylor, was a participant and graduate of the National Science Foundations Innovation Corp in 2016, is a Combat Engineer for the Texas Army National Guard, and will receive his M.S. in Industrial Design at the University of Houston in 2017. He is currently Lead Designer for the Groesbeck Martin Luther King Jr. Community Garden Project, in Groesbeck, TX., and Owner/Founder/CEO of enliving, LLC a company focused on designing products and solutions of individuals with Disabilities. His passions are Design and Education, is a current Ambassador for the College of Architecture and Design and has plans to run for Mayor of Houston in 2020. He joins the Energy Coalition as the Vice Chair of Design with hopes of learning interdisciplinary methods of research, collaboration, design and problem solving to grow the Houston Design Community.

Saïd Zanati is an undergraduate student in the College of Technology. A current junior on track to graduate in May 2018 with a B.Sc. in Supply Chain and Logistics with Global Logistics as his concentration. He chose to pursue Global Logistics as that best compliments his international background. Saïd is multi-lingual and has travelled to over 36 countries over 5 continents. He is currently a Project Manager at Panorama Construction, a Houston contractor. He is with Energy Coalition serving as the Vice Chair of Business Competition Communications at the University of Houston.

VC SYMPOSIUM TEAM: PROJECT MANAGER
Elita De Abreu received her Bachelor’s (2006) and Master’s degree (2010) in Physics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas ‐ UICAMP. In 2006 she joined the Exploration team in Petrobras where she performed quantitative seismic interpretation and rock physics simulation in the Campos, Santos and Sergipe‐Alagoas basins. Member of Energy Coalition since the beginning, she was the SEG Wavelets president, UH Energy Ambassador, and Graduate Committee chair of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Department from the past year. She is currently the vice chair of Symposia Team Project Manager and is pursuing her PhD in multi‐attributes analysis using spectral decomposition with Dr. Castagna at University of Houston.

Linh Le is a Junior Petroleum Engineering at the University of Houston. His goal is to become an expert in the energy industry and contribute to making energy more affordable and accessible to everyone. This semester he will continue working on the Symposium Series and doing his best to improve and perfect it. Linh enjoys learning about the financial world in his free time.

Nicholas Wehbe is a senior petroleum engineering student at the University of Houston. Nick’s primary interest is reservoir engineering. His future plans involve using cutting-edge technology to accurately model underground reservoirs. Previously, Nick interned at Ormat Technologies on a broad range of assignments that included drilling engineering, production engineering, and reservoir engineering. His latest assignment had him managing well tests and then analyzing the data. In addition to his knowledge of the oil and gas industry, Nick has a reputable background in geothermal engineering. Nick holds officer positions in multiple student organizations, he is currently the Vice Chair of Symposium Team Operations for Energy Coalition and the VC of Operations for Energy Association.

Marco Avendano is pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston expecting to graduate in the spring of 2018. He is originally from Columbia and works as a research assistant for the Earth and Atmospheric Science Department at UH. He is currently the Vice Chair of Events for the Energy Coalition.

Kamalpreet is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems and will be minoring in Marketing. Aside from the Energy Coalition, she is also a member of the American Marketing Association. She is very Interested in the world of energy and the ever changing technology use in the industry. In the future, Kamalpreet aspires to learn more about and improve upon technology to make data gathering more efficient for all businesses.
Michael Jackson is a Junior at the University of Houston studying Petroleum Engineering, expecting to graduate May of 2018. He currently holds the Vice Chair of Communications position within the energy coalition. He commutes over an hour to school each day and works as a delivery driver at pizza hut on the weekends. He enjoys providing service and inspiration to those who may not believe in themselves to become a college grad and encourages a STEM related field.

Julian Chenin is a Junior at the University of Houston majoring in Geology with a minor in Geophysics and is expected to graduate May of 2018 with Honors. He is currently the Vice Chair of Student Organization Relations for the Energy Coalition. Julian is passionate about his field and loves a good challenge. He aspires to revolutionize the energy industry by creating ground-breaking exploration, extraction, and imaging techniques. In his downtime he loves the outdoors and can usually catch him hiking and camping with friends
Vera is currently pursuing an Accounting Major from the University of Houston Bauer College of Business. She has experience with the Ted Bauer Leadership program and is now the current Secretary for the Energy Coalition. Her current goals involve aiding the Energy Coalition by being an excellent team player as well as having the desire to impact many lives in positive ways.
